Granite Countertops in Waukesha

Tough, heat-tolerant natural stone, and no two slabs alike. You pick your actual slab and we cut it in our shop.

What granite is

Granite is quarried in solid blocks and cut into slabs, so every slab has its own color and pattern, from near-white to deep black. It handles daily cooking, heat and Wisconsin winters well, which is why it works in kitchens, bars and outdoor kitchens alike.

We fabricate and install granite countertops for homes in Waukesha, Brookfield, Pewaukee, New Berlin and across Waukesha and Milwaukee counties. You choose your actual slab at a distributor's showroom, and we lay out every piece on that slab before we cut, so you know where the pattern and seams will fall.

Why people choose granite

  • Every slab is one of a kind, and you choose the exact one
  • Very hard surface that stands up to knives, pots and daily wear
  • Handles heat well, though we still recommend a trivet
  • Holds up outdoors through freeze and thaw
  • Wide price range, from budget-friendly colors to rare stones

Keep in mind

  • It needs sealing. We seal it at install with a 15-year sealer.
  • The pattern changes across a slab, so a small sample won't show everything. See the full slab before you decide.
  • Some colors are softer or more porous than others. Ask us about the one you like.

Finishes

Most granite comes polished, which brings out the deepest color. Many colors are also available honed or leathered. Leathered granite hides fingerprints and water spots well, especially on dark stone.

Granite questions

Is granite still a good choice for a kitchen?

Yes. It's one of the most durable countertops you can buy, it handles heat well and it comes in a huge range of colors and prices. The main upkeep is keeping it sealed, and we seal it at install.

How often does granite need to be resealed?

We use a 15-year sealer at install. To check it, put a few drops of water on the counter. If the stone darkens within a few minutes, call us about resealing.

Can I use granite for an outdoor kitchen?

Yes. Granite is the safe choice for outdoor kitchens in Wisconsin because it holds up to sun and freeze-thaw cycles.

Where do I pick out my granite?

At our distributors' showrooms in the Milwaukee area, where you can see full slabs. Tell us what you're after and we'll point you to the right one. See where to pick your stone
