Quartz Countertops in Waukesha
Consistent color, no sealing and very little upkeep. Quartz from the major brands, cut and installed by our own crew.
What quartz is
Quartz is engineered stone: crushed natural quartz bound with resin and pigment. Because it's made rather than quarried, the color and pattern are consistent from slab to slab, and the surface is non-porous, so it never needs sealing. It's the lowest-upkeep countertop we install.
We cut and install quartz countertops, vanities and bar tops for homes and businesses in Waukesha, Brookfield, Pewaukee, New Berlin and across Waukesha and Milwaukee counties. Quartz comes in everything from solid whites and grays to designer colors with marble-look veining.
Why people choose quartz
- Never needs sealing. Clean it with warm water and mild soap.
- Consistent color and pattern, so what you see in a sample is what you get
- Resists stains from wine, coffee and oil
- Marble looks without marble's etching
- Works well for vanities, bars and busy family kitchens
Keep in mind
- Hot pans and appliances can scorch or discolor the resin, so always use a trivet.
- Most quartz isn't made for outdoor use, since sunlight can fade it. A few brands make outdoor-rated colors.
- Premium designer colors can cost as much as natural stone.
- Quartz can't be used with Invisacook hidden cooktops, because the resin can't take the heat.
Finishes
Most quartz is polished. Many brands also make a honed finish, often called matte or suede, and a few offer a textured finish similar to leathered stone. Check the care guide for your brand and color, since it comes first.

Is quartz better than granite?
Neither is better in every way. Quartz needs no sealing and has a consistent look; granite handles heat and outdoor use better and every slab is unique. Our comparison table shows the two side by side. Compare the stones
Can I put a hot pan on quartz?
No. Heat can scorch or discolor the resin in quartz, so always use a trivet under hot pans, slow cookers and other hot appliances.

Is quartz a good choice for a bathroom vanity?
Yes. It shrugs off makeup, toothpaste and soap, never needs sealing, and remnants often fit a vanity, which can save you the cost of a full slab.
